Team success coaching
for human-centered businesses
Want a sustainable business?
Build around the humans who run it.
leadership coaching
Leaders who inspire others know where their blind spots are and have learned to compensate. Together, I’ll help you see what you’re not seeing so you avoid being blindsided by events that are, frankly, predictable.
Team dynamics
As people come and go, team dynamics shift, and we may not always be aware of how until the problems pile up. Team consulting offers a solution to this and helps committed leaders leverage the dynamic to create a group greater than the sum of its parts.
Harnessing motivation
It’s easy to get caught up in the daily responsibilities of running a small business and forget to ask if you’re heading toward a goal that feels like success to YOU. Understanding your core motivation ensures you build something that feels worth the long days you put in.
Once we’ve completed your free 30-minute consultation together, I’ll develop your individualized team training plan. You can expect it to follow these four general stages:
The Process
Each member of the team, including the team lead, takes the Integrative Enneagram’s iEQ9 Professional Assessment to discover their dominant motivational style. Upon completion, individuals receive an in-depth 43-page report that walks them through their results, highlights strengths and struggles, and offers basic development exercises. This report is worth its weight in gold.
Every member of the team receives 45-minutes one-on-one with Claire Taylor to discuss the results. This includes any questions about language or meaning in the report, how best to use the information for development, and anything else that comes up. These individual sessions are also designed to prepare each member for discussing their Enneagram perspective in a group setting where they may feel hesitant self-disclosing.
This is where the magic happens. With the iEQ9 Teams Report as our map, the team gathers (in person, whenever possible) for two days to develop stronger communication, increase shared understanding, and gain a deep appreciation for the gifts and struggles of their teammates. This is where the rewards, relief, and revelations of the process are discovered and deeply understood.
Adjustments take time to root as the new norm. Follow-up appointments with Claire Taylor allow for questions, troubleshooting, and conflict resolution to successfully cultivate the new culture and understanding. Additional session packages are available for continued support of individuals, including onboarding for new team members following the team training.
Claire Taylor
Accredited Enneagram Practitioner
I come from a family of small business owners. I understand how the businesses we run are an extension of ourselves, whether we admit it or not. Rather than denying that reality, I help clients become a steady foundation for their business through motivation-based personal development and compassionate guidance.
Support the human, support the enterprise.
I’m a Certified Advanced Instructor of the Enneagram Spectrum of Personality Styles and an Accredited Practitioner of the Integrative Enneagram, with additional training on team dynamics.
Over the last decade, I’ve coached hundreds of entrepreneurs and small-business owners who are ready to discover the opportunities hiding in their blindspots and escape patterns of perfectionism, burnout, and job dissatisfaction.
Through the Enneagram framework, I offer a liberation-based approach to consulting, which means I help my clients live beside their fear rather than be governed by it.
What we want from our business is waiting for us on the other side of our core fear.
Whether your business is at a crossroads, you’re ready to try something new, or you’re in the middle of a personal life transition, I can support you and your team through it and help you imagine a future you’re excited to build.
Unlocking your core motivation
Unlocking the deepest level of why we do what we do allows us to understand our default patterns of thinking, feeling, and action. By learning about our defaults—how they help and how they can lead us down the same dead-end alleys repeatedly—we can adjust for new, desirable outcomes.
As an Accredited Practitioner with the Integrative Enneagram and a Certified Advanced Instructor of the Enneagram Spectrum of Personality Styles, I help you spot patterns that have been hiding in plain sight and leading to the same outcomes you hope to avoid in the future.
To navigate this new path forward for your small business, we use the iEQ9 Professional Questionnaire and the iEQ9 Teams report as our maps.
Discovering your team dynamics profile
The nine types of the Enneagram form clearly defined team dynamics, which function on shared values, blind spots, and conflict styles that are often not the same as those of the team leader or most of the team members. These dynamics stay invisible until named, generating communication breakdowns, success blocks, and unspoken tensions that keep the group from thriving.
The iEQ9 Teams Report makes the invisible visible by identifying the dominant team style as well as the secondary and least developed styles. This is the necessary first step to recognizing recurring patterns, avoiding undesirable outcomes, and learning effective communication specific to your team.
While the Team Report provides us crucial language for the ongoing discussions within a successful group, the team training facilitates the conversations that realign the team toward success.

I limit teams to 12 people, including the team lead.
If your business includes more employees, I recommend focusing first on training the executive or leadership team, as that will have the strongest impact on the success of business initiatives.
If you’d like to schedule multiple team trainings—executive team, marketing team, sales team, etc.—I’m happy to work with you on that. Also, I appreciate your commitment to the well-being of your business!

Yes, these days are required. You cannot build team cohesion without gathering the team together for this step of the process.
On-site training is strongly suggested if it’s at all possible for team members to be in each other’s physical presence for two eight-hour days (with plenty of breaks, of course).
If on-site is impossible, I also offer virtual two-day training options (with even more breaks, because who needs to stare at a screen that long?).
If you don’t want to schedule the team training days, individual leadership training is also available, and we can discuss those packages on a free 30-minute consult.

I charge a flat sum for the team training days (this may include travel fees, if applicable). Then I charge a set price per team member, including the team lead. This price covers the licensing fees I pay to Integrative Enneagram per iEQ9 Assessment and includes my hourly rate for 1:1 consults.
Follow-up appointments, additional hours, and onboarding are charged at my standard hourly consulting rate.
When you book your free 30-minute consultation, we’ll assess the needs of your team and what ample support looks like for you to put together a package that gets the job done.

If your business is designed for high turnover, this might not be the best investment for you.
However, if your business experiences high turnover and you’d like that to change, teams coaching is an effective way of keeping employees invested in the people they work with day-to-day, which reduces turnover.
I also offer onboarding services for new team members. So if you complete the group training but more people join the team, I can ease their transition by getting them an iEQ Assessment and conducting a consultation to help them understand the significance of the report and how it helps them work with the team.

I do offer individual coaching for business owners and solopreneurs. Please reach out for more information on that.
I don’t offer individual coaching for “problem employees” in situations where the team leader is not also interested in coaching.

Collaborative, honest, and usually humorous. I’m here to guide individuals and their teams toward deeper understanding. Sometimes our discoveries are profound and moving, and sometimes they’re quite funny and humbling.
My clients know they can trust me to guide them where they need to go for a healthier, happier, and more liberated life, and that includes the majority of our waking hours we spend at work.
I take pride in creating and maintaining a comfortable, judgment-free space where real transformation and connection can take place around a common goal.
In addition to this work, I’m a fiction author with over 40 books published, primarily mysteries and comedies. I love getting to the bottom of things and also having a good laugh at the human condition. I try to bring this spirit to everything I do.

Yes, I’m happy to travel as my schedule allows! Additional fees to cover airfare, hotel, food, and any other reasonable travel expenses will be included in the quote.
